Skills (/ commands) and variables

Save frequent instructions as "skills" and invoke them by typing "/" in the chat input — a one-tap way to reuse prompt templates.

• Invoke: type "/" in the chat input, or press the / button at the bottom-left of the input, to see the list of skills.
• Attaching files to chat: use the ＋ button (bottom-left of the input), paste (⌘V), or drag & drop to attach images, PDFs, and text (.txt / .md) and ask about them. Images and PDFs require a vision-capable model. Small PDFs are read as images (you are notified of the estimated token cost when attaching, since this grows with page count); large PDFs and text-only providers (OpenAI) automatically fall back to text extraction (charts and layout are not sent).
• Manage: add, edit, or delete your own / commands from Settings → Skills. You can also ask chat to "turn this instruction into a skill".
• Variables: writing {{name}} inside a skill prompt creates an input field that is filled in when you invoke it. Variable types are text (free input), date, and note (auto-filled with the relative path of the currently open note), and each can have a default value.
