monthlet is a note app where you write and grow notes through AI chat. Each note is a single ordinary HTML file that also opens in a browser.
After the 1.0.0 release on October 1, we published three pages on the monthlet website. This journal entry covers what those pages are and how updates will be released from here.
New pages
The help content that ships inside the app is now readable on the web as well. You can check how features work and where settings live before installing the app.
We also built a list of the components you can use in a note. Tables, charts, formulas, sliders, and the other things you can place in a note are listed with images. You can ask the AI in chat to place any of them, or choose one yourself from the “+” in edit mode.

The roadmap page lists the features released so far, newest first, along with what is planned next.
Upcoming releases
The desktop version (Mac and Windows) gets small updates every week. We plan to bundle feature additions into versions such as 1.1.0. Updates to the Windows version arrive after passing Microsoft Store review, so they can be slightly later than on Mac. The contents of each version are documented in the release notes.
Two larger version upgrades are planned, both for the first quarter of 2027. One is monthlet AI, a subscription that lets you use the AI features without preparing an API key. The other is version 1.0 of the iPhone app.
Try it
monthlet runs on macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows. The Windows version is available from the Microsoft Store. Enter your own AI API key and all features are available.

(Updated October 5, 2026) An earlier version of this post said monthlet AI would arrive as monthlet 2.0. We no longer tie monthlet AI to a version number. The planned timing, the first quarter of 2027, has not changed.
